AgBiz Assist
This program provides free bushfire case management for youth (19-25), adults (26-64) and older adults (65+) and free financial counselling for small business in all regions (Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta).
Albury Wodonga Health – Public Mental Health Services
AWH Mental Health Services covers a wide geographical area, spanning 50,000 square kilometres from Southern New South Wales, to North East Victoria. View map here. Both short-term crisis support and longer term case managed continuing care is available in the region.
Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV)
The recovery hotline is a single state-wide number, 1800 560 760, that Victorians impacted by disasters can call for help.
Gateway Health – Counselling and Support Program
This program offers a range of different service supports based on need and as listed in the services provided section. These services are available in all regions (Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta) to community members of all ages.
Gateway Health Community Recovery and Resilience Programs
This state funded program has funding to June 2022. It is available to people 14 years+ impacted by the 2019-20 Bushfires and are living in Towong, Alpine, Wodonga, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta.
MIND Australia
This state funded service (until Sept 2021) provides psychosocial support to community members residing in bushfire affected regions (Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta).
Rural Aid
Rural Aid’s dedicated counselling intake line is staffed by our trained counsellors Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm on 1300 175 594. Farmers, farming family members and farm workers can all contact this number to gain information about counselling, gain support and complete our intake process to be linked in with a counsellor. All services are free and the person does not have to be a primary producer; hobby farmers and their family can also access the intake line. Farmers are supported with practical strategies to help them refocus and get back on track.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army responds to natural and man-made disasters including bushfires, floods, storm damage, earthquakes, cyclones or prolonged drought.
Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) – Bushfire Recovery Case Support
This state funded program is available in all regions (Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Indigo, Mansfield and Wangaratta) to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members of all ages.
