This state funded program (until March 2021) is a child centred, family focused early intervention service offered through Gateway Health in Wangaratta, Wodonga, Alpine and Mansfield.

Anticipated Wait Times: 1-5 days max.
Costs: No Costs associated
Targeted Cohorts Included: Family Focused Service, children, carers & guardians

  • Tier 3: Mild Intensity Services
  • Tier 4: Community Support Service

Services provided through this program include

  • General Community Services
  • Parent education and support for families impacted by Bushfires
  • General mental health counselling services
  • Bushfire specific mental health counselling services

Eligibility

  • Children 0 – 12 years who show signs of impact from Bushfires (requiring support with social, emotional or behavioural challenges)
  • Parents, carer’s, guardians wanting support/education around parenting a child who is impacted by Bushfires
  • Children must have a parent or significant other willing to be involved and provide consent
